During their TGS 2022 show, Square Enix showed more gameplay for Octopath Traveler II, which was just announced.

About Octopath Traveler II
This is a brand-new game in the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series. The first game in the series came out in 2018 and has sold more than 3 million copies around the world. It makes the HD-2D graphics of the series, which are a mix of retro pixel art and 3DCG, even better.
In the world of Solistia, eight new travelers set out into an exciting new era.
Where do you want to go? What will you do? Whose story will you make real?

Start out on your own adventure.
- Begin your adventure as one of eight new travelers, each with their own origins, motivations, and unique skills.
- The series’ HD-2D graphics, a fusion of retro pixel art and 3DCG, have reached even greater heights.
- The story takes place in Solistia, which is a place where different cultures from east to west thrive and where industries from the new era are doing well. You can sail the seas and explore every part of a world that changes from day to night.
- Each traveler has their own set of Path Actions that they can use to fight townspeople, get items, bring other people with them, and more. Where do you want to go? What will you do? You can go in any direction.
- The Break and Boost system that made battles so exciting has been kept from the original game, as has the freedom to change the jobs and skills of your travelers. There are also new ways to play.
Octopath Traveler II comes out for Nintendo Switch on February 24, 2022.
