Octopath Traveler; no paid DLC, Square Enix is considering sequel

What will we see in the future of Octopath Traveler?

In an interview with Famitsu, Tomoya Asano of Square Enix talked about the future of Octopath Traveler.

More concretely, he was asked whether it will receive dlc. Then the game producer said that from the beginning it was decided not to offer paid dlc for the game. With this he repeats what Masashi Takahashi already confirmed in June.

A sequel in the making?

Asano was also asked about the possibility of a sequel to the well-received title. Although he could not share anything concrete, he confirmed that internal discussions had begun.

The chances of seeing the Bravely Default series are great after Asano Famitsu assured that this series will make a comeback. Square Enix wants to take its time to offer a title of sufficient volume instead of delivering a rushed product every year.
