The game was not as complete as we thought. If you thought you would be able to play Mario Tennis Aces completely you are wrong. The new sports game needs a day-one update of 2GB if you want to play tournaments.
Without this update it will therefore not be possible to use this mode. According to Eurogamer, the digital version of the game, including update, is only 1.9GB.
Online Mario Tennis Aces tournaments
In Mario Tennis Aces a new aspect has been added to online tournaments. They are a way to get new characters a month earlier than all other players. For example, gamers can unlock Koopa Troopa in July and Blooper in August by scoring enough points online.
Players who do not participate in the tournaments will receive these characters in August and September respectively.
