Nintendo has opened the official website for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and it has an interesting blurb on the Super Crown.
Super Toad ehh Peachette
The description for the Super Crown states that only Toadette can use it.
While we have been aware of that since last year, this is Nintendo’s subtle hint to fans that there’s no chance a fan-made character like Bowsette or Boosette will ever make it in canon.Here’s the description from the official website:
When Toadette finds one of these, she can transform into the super-powered Peachette.
I still don’t get the transition from Toadette to Peachette (because well it’s just Peach with a fancy crown) but anyway.
