Overwatch 2 – 25 million players in ten days

Overwatch 2 seems to have been a big success for Blizzard, even though its launch was rough due to DDoS attacks and a problem that has since been fixed where players’ progress didn’t carry over. The company says that 25 million people played the game in the first ten days after it came out, which is an all-time record.

Since the game came out, nearly three times as many people play it every day as they did when the first Overwatch game came out.

Blizzard says thank you

As a thank you to players, Blizzard is giving them a new Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm if they log in between October 25 and the end of Season 1.

On the following weekends, players can also earn double match XP:

  • Starting on October 28 at 11 a.m. PT and ending at 11 a.m. PT on October 31.
  • Starting at 11 a.m. PT on November 24 and ending at 11 a.m. PT on November 28.
