Pokemon Legends Arceus – 13.9 Million Units sold

Nintendo’s latest earnings report for 2022 shows that Pokemon Legends Arceus has sold more than a big number of copies.

Nintendo says that 13.9 million Pokemon Legends Arceus games have been sold around the world. Joe Merrick of Serebii.net pointed out that this means it has sold more copies than Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, which are widely thought to be two of the best Pokemon games ever made. This is even more impressive because Legends of Arceus broke the trend of Pokemon games coming out in two versions, which means it did this with just one game.

We have the most up-to-date sales numbers for all main series Pokémon games.

Almost certainly, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will slow SWSH down. SWSH is not likely to hit RB’s number. I do wonder, though, how high SV can go.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could set a new record for sales, so it will be interesting to see how the new games do in the future.

About Pokemon Legends Arceus

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you have to catch, survey, and research wild Pokémon to make the first Pokédex for the Sinnoh region and finish it. Pokémon Legends: Arceus stays true to the core gameplay of past Pokémon games while adding new action and role-playing game (RPG) elements.

You’ll be taken to Sinnoh, which is where Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl take place. But this story takes place a long time ago, before there were things like Pokémon Trainers or Pokémon Leagues. You’ll find Pokémon living in the wild in harsh places. This is a different Sinnoh from the one you might remember from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
