We have some troubling news when it comes to Pokemon Let’s GO for those of you who love playing with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
According to Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee’s Japanese and Korean Nintendo eShop listings, the game does not support the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
Throwing a Pro controller
While it is unclear why that is the case, we speculate it is most likely due to the “throwing” motion that needs to be performed by users when catching a Pokemon.Other control options supported include a single Joy-Con, Poke Ball Plus, and the touchscreen.
Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee is the third major Nintendo Switch game not to support the Pro Controller. Super Mario Party and The World Ends with You: Final Remix do not support the Pro Controller either.
Our own take on this
Personally we just dislike the fact that games are leaving controller support out. But in all fairness the Pro controller is not included in a base Nintendo Switch. That is the only valid reason we can imagine. Because why can’t we mimic a throw with the Pro Controller. We have had to weirder thing with controllers before … But what do you guys think?
