Over the past weeks, leaks and datamines for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have given us the final list of exclusives.
In the early days of the series, you could only find some creatures in the wild, depending on which version you were playing. The idea behind this is that it will make people more likely to meet and talk to each other. Even though it’s been in place for more than 20 years, it’s still there, and now there are two different versions of the latest Pokemon game. Some fans will only buy one version, so it’s important to know what comes with each title.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet exclusives list
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet won’t have every Pokemon ever seen in the series, but there are still a lot of them. Also, as if that wasn’t enough, this time around, over 100 new Pokemon have been made. Only a small part of each version is unique.

We still don’t know much about these forms, but we do know that they have nothing to do with the Pokemon they are based on (other than some resemblance in the design). In other words, they are not a different form like Mega Evolution, but something completely new.
Is there anything else that’s unique?
Aside from the fact that some creatures are only available in certain versions, there are a few other things to keep in mind. Depending on the game, players will wear a different outfit when they first start, and each game will have a different professor and academy. In our pre-order bonus guide, you can find out more.
On November 18, 2022, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be available for Nintendo Switch.
