Recently the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword And Shield released, accompanied by a free update which made several Pokemon from past titles available.

Will they ever become available?

Currently, it is unknown whether these Pokemon will ever be added into Pokemon Sword and Shield. But keep in mind that the Isle Of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC added around 200 returning Pokemon through free updates. 

Will the dream of having a full Pokedex in a mainline Pokemon every become the case again?
