The upcoming Pokemon Sword & Shield will be the first game in the long-running Pokemon franchise to introduce an autosave mechanic.
For those of you a little worried about its inclusion you will be pleased to know it is something you can turn off if you want to.
Shigeru Ohmori told Game Informer;
It’s a new feature we’re implementing: full autosave functionality. Traditionally in Pokémon games, it’s an important thing to write your report to record your save, and that’s always been a staple, like, “Remember to save your game!”
We do have an autosave feature this time, where you can just adventure and it’ll constantly save the game.
Personally I love games which autosave. I have had my share of screw ups when it comes to forgetting in the past. Do you like this new addition?
