It will not be a big surprise for almost anyone that it’s going very well with how the Nintendo Switch is received. Let’s link some sales figures to that!
Quarterly figures software
The last quarterly earnings of Nintendo were announced on January 31, 2019. This shows that Super Smash Bros Ultimate has sold more than 12 million units in less than 4 weeks and is therefore right behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (15 million sales) and Super Mario Odyssey (13 million sales).
But Super Smash Bros. Of course, Ultimate is only much shorter, so we will only see those numbers rise.
Sales figures Nintendo Switch
They also should not complain about the number of Nintendo Switch consoles sold, because that number has already risen to more than 32 million.
Furthermore, more than 163 million switch games have been sold, with these figures the Nintendo Switch has passed the Wii U even further. Only 13.56 million devices of the Wii U have been sold and more than 102 million games.
In short Nintendo is very well on both software and hardware level.
