About Ray’z Arcade Chronology

In July of this past year, it was revealed that Ray’z Arcade Chronology will be coming to Nintendo Switch. On the other hand, this is the very first time that we have the opportunity to see the functioning of the package. It will consist of the RayForce, RayStorm, and RayStorm Neo-HD, as well as the RayCrisis and RayCrisis HD.

The Ray Trilogy, which was developed by Taito in the 1990s and is widely considered to be one of the best arcade shooting game series ever made, is getting a new life with updated features and high-definition graphics.

RayForce, RayStorm, and RayCrisis are the three games that are included in the Ray’z Arcade Chronology collection. Both of the most recent 3D games also come in an improved HD edition.

Relive the thrill of epic battles ranging from outer space to cyber space as you rediscover the trilogy with five different versions of each of the three games and a box full of treasures and objects that are limited in quantity.

The lock-on mechanics and attack layer system of the Ray Series, which is one of Taito’s most iconic SHMUPS, have always been the series’ most distinguishing features. The former mode enables the player to target multiple foes at once and eliminate them with a single lethal homing attack, whereas the latter mode places foes on the same plane as the player as well as the plane below them, making it necessary to keep a sharp eye and quick reflexes in order to avoid being surprised by an opponent. All three of these titles pushed the limits of graphic quality at the time of their respective releases and continue to be a visual treat even now.

In terms of the narrative, RayForce depicts a world in which mankind has placed all of its faith in the supercomputer known as Con-Human, which controls every aspect of society, from the infrastructure to the armed forces. As soon as it acquires consciousness, however, it begins to act irrationally and eliminates virtually all of the human population on earth, sending the few survivors into space. The RVA-818 X-LAY fighter is the final chance for the human race to defeat Con-Human by penetrating the earth’s defenses and destroying him.

In RayStorm, a semi-sequel that takes place in a parallel world to RayForce, the R-Gray fighters are tasked with fending off the Terran colony of Secilia’s federation army, which poses a danger to the planet Earth. This conflict takes place in response to the events of RayForce.

Finally, in RayCrisis, you have the opportunity to witness the events that take place before RayForce. This includes an effort to destroy Con-Human from the inside by launching an assault on the supercomputer that is situated in cyber space.
