Record videos now also for games made with Unity

From the 4.0 update of the Nintendo Switch it is possible to record videos from the last 30 seconds. Not all games support this function though.

The game engine Unity now supports it!

Recording video

From the beginning of the Nintendo Switch there was a recording button on the left Joy-Con. At first it could only be used to take screenshots. At the moment the 4.0 update appeared it could also be used to record short videos. When this function was rolled out, only a handful of games could handle it.

This list of games continues to grow and there is good news again.

Jools Watsham, owner of AtooiLLC, announced through a tweet that Unity now supports the recording function. The game Soccer Slammers from AtooiLLC will be one of the first games to use this new feature of Unity.

The list of games created with the Unity game engine for the Switch continues to grow steadily. Not all of these games will immediately support the function. The developers themselves will be able to come up with an update in which this function is built in. Whether developers find it worthwhile is still the question.

However, it seems likely that future games will have this feature built in as standard.

Do you record a lot of content through this function? We personally are still playing a bit with our Elgato capturing solution but due to lack of time we have not been able to do a lot with it.
