RetroMania Wrestling on Nintendo Switch received a significant upgrade. Players may get access to additional material, features, and updates, among other things.
Chris Bey as a playable character is one of the new additions. Three additional venues may also be accessible.

- “Dashing,” the Ultimate Finesser Chris Bey’s RetroMania debut has finally here!
- RETROPALOOZA has a new convention venue!
- HEATED TAGS! Wrestlers with low health who tag out to a new partner have a chance to trigger a Hot Tag. Wrestlers who are under the “Hot” effect will be boosted for a limited time:
- Gain traction!
- Move more quickly!
- Win any fight!
- Kendo stick makeover! Everyone gets a stick! (This was once a Dreamer-only easter egg in one arena.)
- Available in all arenas… if you can locate them.
- Longer reach than chairs, but less harm.
- After five hits, it breaks.
- LIGHT assaults may have up to three hits in a row. (daze x2, knockdown x3)
- HEAVY assaults destroy with a single swipe.
- Holding the LIGHT button from a headlock allows you to punch your opponent into a stupor.
- Tag partners on the apron will respond to ring activity.
- When the title changes hands in Versus, a new Champ scenario now plays.
- To unlock the title for free play, you must first accomplish 10 Pounds of Gold.
- If a 10 Pounds of Gold save is in process, the title will not be transferred in Versus.
- The Champion indication will be greyed out if a 10 Pounds of Gold saving is detected.
- If you make a fresh 10 Pounds of Gold save, Champion will revert to Nick Aldis.
- Best of Three Falls has been introduced to the Singles and Tag Team match choices, along with a new fall indicator.
- Ground AI has been totally overhauled — no more spam!
- Fatigue due to poor health. When a wrestler’s health is poor, he or she will grip their stomach and move more slowly.
- You may now re-enter the ring with your opponent.
- More movements may now exit the ring.
- All actions that may expel from the ring can also be used to throw against the cage wall.
- Several motions from the front apron to the floor are possible.
- Moves from the top rope may now be used to break pins.
- Wrestlers who are defeated will now exhibit one of four “loser” postures at random.
- A random wrestler selection option has been introduced.
- Nameplates at the entrances have been affixed.
- After the match, the winner’s song is currently playing.
- Power German Suplex has been added to Nikita Koloff’s German Suplex.
- Submission victories now include a bone-crunching sound effect.
- Groin attacks are now accompanied by a ring bell sound effect.
- Suicide dive damage has been raised, but you will still incur the same amount of damage if you miss.
- When executed outside of the ring, submission maneuvers no longer automatically break.
- When eliminated from the Retro Rumble or other elimination-style battles, the word “ELIMINATED!” is shown.
- A few of maneuvers have been reanimated.
- More rope movement as necessary.
- Matt Cardona’s entrance animation has been modified.
- Johnny Retro’s entrance animation has been redone.
- Big Stevie Cool’s entrance animation has been updated.
- Many sprite layering/move timing problems have been resolved.
- Many maneuvers have SFX changes.
- Lucky Wins may now be turned off in the gameplay settings.
- The video settings now include a scanline filter.
