Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered will be coming this winter

Square Enix has made a surprising announcement, revealing Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song Remastered, which will be released this winter for Nintendo Switch and various platforms. The original game was launched on Sony’s PlayStation 2 platform in 2005, so fans will be pleased to see it return.

The graphics aren’t spectacular, but the plot should keep the game going. High-resolution visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and additional features are included in Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song Remastered.

About Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered

Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered is an improved rerelease of the 2005 PS2 Romancing SaGa remake, which was based on the 1992 Super Famicom original that was never released outside of Japan. It’s the first game in the Romancing sub-trilogy, which covers the 16-bit period of the long-running SaGa franchise. According to Square Enix, the updated Minstrel Song edition will have “HD graphics, enhanced gameplay, and even entirely new content!” Here’s a sample from their excellent game primer.

Romancing Everything that made the original game wonderful has been retained in SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered. It has the distinctive ‘Glimmer’ and ‘Combo’ systems, where characters may discover astonishing new powers in the midst of combat, stunning visuals, and a fantastic music by composer Kenji Ito.

It also includes the series’ Free-form Scenario System, which let you to experience the tale in a variety of ways based on how you play. You choose one of eight main characters, and your actions and choices will create a tale that is uniquely yours as you explore the huge universe.

All of this makes the game a must-have for lovers of traditional turn-based RPGs, but new update adds much more.

The game now has updated HD visuals, additional quality of life features that make playing simpler and more comfortable, and some new components as well!
