Digital Foundry – Shadow Man Remastered highlights

  • Using the KEX 4 engine instead of the KEX 3 engine in the PC version
  • All console versions have the same options – Only the resolution differs
  • FOV slider, ability to activate HD textures, anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, motion blur, anisotropic filtering, shadow mapping, film grain, depth of focus
  • These are some of the graphical choices available. The docked resolution is 1080p, while the portable version is 720p with dynamic resolution scaling
  • The resolution may go as low as 50%, but it doesn’t stay there
  • The resolution is determined by the graphical settings you choose
  • Mostly docked in 1080p with all settings turned off
  • When you turn everything up, the resolution drops dramatically
  • Nightdive has already begun work on improving Nintendo Switch performance, which should be completed shortly
  • Most settings are disabled on the docked Nintendo Switch: Shadow Man is a fictional character. The frame rate of the remastered version is usually 60 frames per second, however there are occasional minor skips and dips
  • With the highest settings, the Nintendo Switch is docked: Frame rate dips caused by GPUs may reach the 50s
  • There are several control choices in this game
  • Can glance around with the right control stick, which wasn’t possible in the original — The loading process is rather speedy.
