The status of Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight Dig, which was initially unveiled in August 2019, has been updated, and we now know about a new Grub Pit section.
It is currently “in the last phases of development and approaching completion,” according to the business. Grub Pit, on the other hand, is a bug-infested place.

We’d also want to introduce you to another new region that you’ll come across as you descend further beneath the ground. Welcome to the Grub Pit’s bug-infested depths! Even if you’re simply passing through, intruders aren’t welcomed by these nasty crawlies. Dig quickly through the Carnivorous Dirt, or it will react by unleashing its lethal spikes! Other enemies, such as the Rolling Beeto, will approach you with massive balls of… something. Yuck!
To keep above the fray, use your Shovel Drop. When you get to the bottom of the nest, you’ll run across another Hexcavator… Perhaps a specific bug-loving spelunker?

Shovel Knight Dig was originally set to release on Nintendo Switch in 2021, but was delayed to 2022 in November.
