Sony’s PhyreEngine support

The Nintendo Switch supports Sony’s PhyreEngine, the engine used to power games such as Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, OlliOlli 2, Gunslugs, and Dragon Quest Builders to name a few.

The news was first noted from someone on Twitter who, when reading the licensing document of the free Dragon Quest Builders demo, noticed that the title was developed by using Sony’s engine.

What can PhyreEngine mean for Nintendo Switch?

This could pave the way for more games that use the engine to come over to the Nintendo Switch in the future. It’s also worth noting that, as well as all recent Playstation hardware using it, Xbox One, iOS, and Android do as well.

Are there games using the PhyreEngine which you would love to see on the Nintendo Switch?
