Square Enix wants to bring old games to Nintendo Switch

Square Enix shows interest in porting older games to newer platforms like the Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix is ​​a Japanese company and  already has supported the Nintendo Switch since its release with I Am Setsuna and are still show  supporting with titles like Lost Sphear and Project Octopath Traveler. In an interview with MCV, CEO also told Yosuke Matsuda he interested elderly Square Enix games to bring the Nintendo Switch:

Another one of our major initiatives is to provide as many old titles via digital releases. Among the younger generation of gamers, there are many people who might have heard about our previous titles, but never have they had the chance to play.

So we think the program porting and transfer of older titles to newer platforms like the Nintendo Switch, is very important. In this way, people are aware of our older catalog. Only porting is not enough, we need to update and modernize these games to create something that works for modern gamers.
