The immensely popular Stardew Valley is getting its long-awaited Version 1.5 update sometime soon near future.
Concerned Ape updated fans on its progress, tweeted that the work on the update is progressing smoothly and is currently in the “home stretch”
the 1.5 update is in the "home stretch", it's a very big update so there is a lot of polishing and bug fixing necessary to make sure it's ready. It'll be very fun to share it with all of you in the near future. I think you'll be really happy and surprised with all the new stuff!

He reiterated that it is a very big update to the game and hopes that fans and newcomers to the game will be both happy and surprised by the content on offer.
Hopefully Concerned Ape will share a concrete release date soon for both consoles and PC.
Main feature – split screen co-op
In Stardew Valley 1.5, there will be split-screen co-op,” the developer confirmed on Twitter with a serious of screenshots.
In follow up tweets with fans it was also confirmed that this split-screen feature will be coming to “console and PC”, however it was stressed that the number of simultaneous players might vary.
The example given was that “on PC, you will be able to have up to 4, but on some platforms it might be limited to 2.
