SteamWorld Dig trailer

Last year we enjoyed SteamWorld Dig 2 for the Nintendo Switch. The game was well received by both critics and consumers.

The first part also comes to the Nintendo Switch this week.

SteamWorld Dig appeared in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. Shortly thereafter, the other platforms followed and by a collaboration with Nintendo was physically released for the Wii U. This was a bundle with the first part and SteamWorld Heist.

Almost five years later, the game is released to the newest console and seems to be limited to a digital release.

About Steamworld Dig

SteamWorld Dig is a platform mining adventure with strong Metroidvanian influences. Take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need. Dig your way through the old earth, gaining riches while uncovering the ancient threat that lurks below…

  • A rich world of steam-driven robots, inspired by Steampunk and Western themes
  • Explore an underground world full of secrets, treasure and terrors
  • Uncover the remnants of human civilisation, a degenerate race of dynamite-wielding troglodytes
  • Randomised worlds with emergent gameplay

The game will be available from 1 February and will be available for € 9.99 in the Nintendo Switch eShop.
