Castlevania Symphony roots

The spiritual successor of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has a hard time with it. The game has been under development for quite some time and has even been postponed several times; the last time we wrote about it he would come to the Nintendo Switch in early 2018.

That just does not mean that they are no longer working on it, besides the trailer there is a new demo of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for supporters of the Kickstarter campaign, in which new content is shown. (Only playable for those who have placed more than $ 60 and have gone for the PC version)

For example, Alchemy and Crafting have been implemented and players can visit shopkeeper / exorcist Dominique to buy items.

Koja Igarashi about the demo

Regarding the gameplay—we’ve prepared a demo that I can proudly call an action game. Well, I guess that should be obvious… but hey! We also added special commands that were eagerly requested! It’s only a small portion of what’s in the game, but try to find them and see what you think. There are also new enemies and shards introduced in this demo.

In addition to the combat, there is a shop to buy and sell items, and an alchemy room to craft new items, where you can also make food and upgrade shards.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently still planned for this year, although it is unclear when this should be and / or will be achieved.
