Nintendo released a version 3.0.1 update for Super Mario Maker 2 on July 15, 2020.
The update fixes a bug which makes the controls unresponsive after selecting the Boss Menu in World Courses’ Hakkun Time Attack. Other minor bugs have also been fixed to improve the gameplay experience.

- When the player opens the pause menu while playing Ninji Speedruns, they will not be able to perform any actions for a certain period after closing the pause menu.

- Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
As usual, if you update to the latest version of the game, you’ll no longer be able to play with those who are using Version 3.0.0, or earlier.
