In a CrunchyRoll interview with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD producer Masao Shirosaki, he was asked about the possibility of future Super Monkey Ball titles.
Shirosaki says if Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD sells well, SEGA would consider remaking the first two games or even making an entire new game in the series, so it’s all up to the fans to decide.
Fan demand will tell
13 years ago was before I joined SEGA; I’m really grateful for the fans who still support the Monkey Ball series after all these years, and who motivate me to create only the best for them. And of course, I am aware that the most favored titles are the first two games.
If there is enough support for Banana Blitz HD, this will open up doors for remaking the first two games or even a whole new title to the series. But for now, I’d be happy if everyone has fun playing Banana Blitz HD.
I get it but still I would like something new and fresh rather then ‘just’ a remake. But it’s a start I guess. Have you given Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD a chance on Nintendo Switch?
