During the Nintendo Direct three new playable fighters have been announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct has announced all playable characters; there are 74 in total and even 75 if you have the game for January. But it will not stay here … more about that later!
The newcomers are echo fighter Ken (base is of course Ryu) and the Pokémon Incineroar.
But the most surprising addition; the Piranha Plant from Super Mario.

Ken may be an echo fighter, but his moves, speed and style still make him unique!
Incineroar, well … not your everyday Pokemon we will say. As he has lots of moves and looks that would not be out of place as a professional wrestler.
Piranha Plant only appears later for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but is an extra free fighter. You will receive it as soon as you have claimed the golden points via My Nintendo.
