Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge update, patch notes

Dotemu and Tribute Games released a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge update. Various corrections, enhancements, and other modifications have been made.

  • Bug Fixes
    • Gameplay
      • Fixed foes occasionally frozen following a Fling Slam.
      • Fixed Rat King occasionally frozen after being beaten.
      • Krang’s torso no longer leaves the screen on occasion. You may sing it: “Krang-no-loooon-ger leeeeea-ving theeeeee-screen!”
      • Fixed a bug that prevented the Dirtbag from executing its Blinding Flash attack.
      • Over a hold, some player assaults that granted protection to falling through holes no longer resulted in a near-instant kill.
      • The Dive Kick attack no longer causes the player to get stuck while landing on edges.
    • Online
      • Clients are no longer locked in cutscenes.
      • Numerous connectivity difficulties at the beginning of stages that might cause desyncs and missing players have been resolved.
      • Several crashes caused by packet loss or slowness, resulting in insufficient attack, player, or camera data, have been resolved. Bodacious!
      • Clients no longer ignore adversary grasp cancellation (when a player grabs for too long or an enemy is too healthy to grab).
      • Clients are no longer able to interrupt a Grab with a Super Attack, leaving adversaries immobilized in their Grab response.
      • Fixed instances of the client-side Chrome Dome not rising when it should have
      • When charging, the fixed Groundchuck is often not facing the correct direction on clients, or is occasionally not animating at all.
      • Replication difficulties have been resolved in the Shredder encounter.
      • Super Shredder and Rat King no longer cause clients to freeze when the host quits the game.
      • Client-side rat spawning during the Rat King encounter now occurs as intended.
      • Buzzer on the client side is no longer unable to do U-turns.
      • Before assaulting, client-side Motorcycle Foot Soldiers were sometimes frozen on-screen.
      • The client-side Super Flying Attack of Splinter now increases your Hit Counter and Score. He is an extremist rat!
      • Fixed instances of network latency during boss battles causing the monster’s behavior to break, making it difficult to complete the fight (boss disappearing, for example).
      • After an unsuccessful online game search, the search function has been restored.
      • Fixed connectivity difficulties that occurred following the game’s conclusion cutscene.
      • The host can no longer halt the game by activating the Party Up menu during a cinematic at the conclusion of a level.
    • Input
      • Partial fix for preserving customized controls
      • Customizing controls using a keyboard layout other than QWERTY is now supported.
      • Menus Restored the VSync value in the Options menu.
      • The Pause menu may no longer get trapped on-screen during gaming.
    • Achievements
      • When beginning a new game, the advancement of stat-based accomplishments like “Complete Cast!” is no longer reset.
      • Unlocking an achievement is now stored quickly. Achievement progress is now preserved when a level is exited.
  • Audio
    • Stereo loudness difficulties have been resolved.
  • Credits
    • Included some incredible individuals that worked on the game. Tubular!
    • Corrected Edwin’s name. Cowabunga, guy!
  • Improvements
    • Gameplay
      • Enhanced performance by preloading all potential adversaries for a level.
      • No longer are Dizzy players invincible. Bummer, buddy!
      • In Story mode, pressing Continue no longer initiates a load. 
    • Online
      • Improved the detection of all connected players as Ready, preventing stage entry.
      • Enhanced transitions between the various sections of stage 6 (Crystal Palace Mall).
      • Improved bosses’ snapping to (sometimes poor) positions after receiving client-side damage.
      • Players from a distance may now see their Double Jump and extra Somersault assaults. Wicked!
    • Menus
      • Added platform icons to online game and friend listings.
  • New Functions
    • Online Added a pop-up notice if thrown out of a party. Sorry!
    • Added a netcode check window in the event of a version mismatch. Friends do not allow each other to play unpatched games.
