KONAMI collaborated with game developer Digital Eclipse to expertly adapt these classics for modern gaming systems with a fantastic set of quality-of-life features such as save and rewind at any time, button mapping, and added online play for certain games with local couch play for all titles where originally intended. Each title in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will have a digital game guide to assist players in fighting and swimming through challenging locations.
The games are inspired on the characters and ideas of the 1980s children’s television and comic book series The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and are set in a fictionalized New York City, sewers, futuristic enemy bases, and even beyond time! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, created in partnership with Nickelodeon, will comprise a curated Museum with images from the original cartoons, comics, and other vintage TMNT media material, as well as a wealth of extras. In addition, there will be never-before-seen development graphics, drawings, and game design material.
