Terraria 4.0.6 update and patch notes

Journey’s End, Terraria’s main content expansion, was finally released on Nintendo Switch last month, and it was followed by another 4.0.6 patch. It includes the ability to manage the sun and moon from the frontend mnu, as well as changes to the hotbar navigation and a bunch of other improvements.

Terraria version 4.0.6 patch notes

  • New!
    • Make the Sun Move! By holding ZR + right stick on the frontend menu, you can now manipulate the sun and moon. Give it a go.
  • Improved!
    • We’ve adjusted the hotbar navigation when a Dynamic Hotbar item is connected to a hotbar slot based on user input, making it simpler to hop across the Hotbar
  • Fixed!
    • Split Screen and Multiplayer
    • Fixed mannequins losing stuff and not being visible to other players when placed by the host.
    • In multiplayer, an item was lost if it was held while a chest was closed.
    • In split screen, player 2+ is now immune to missiles.
    • Open menus no longer interfere with entering multiplayer games.
    • Fixed an issue where users were unable to move through the Options menu in multiplayer if their network connection was lost while a menu was active.
    • Several crashes have been fixed.
    • When the Painter’s residence is in a hallowed-snow cemetery biome and he tries to open his business, it crashes.
    • If you suffer a crash, please report it in the forums and provide as much information as possible!
  • There are other more fixes as well.
    • As long as there isn’t a competing binding for Use Item bound in the Settings, players will be able to quickly equip an item from a chest.
    • The controller binding for Research has been fixed! The Research menu may now be accessed straight from an item in the Inventory. This information may be found under Settings >> Controller >> Controller Bindings: Edit >> Inventory Research Item and bind it!
    • Fixed an issue where if a player died while a text input box was active, they were unable to continue playing.
    • Fixed an issue where objects might appear at a locked-on enemy’s position while utilizing a crafting station.
    • The item pickup range in Journey mode has been adjusted to match the PC. It’s now able to toss goods from your inventory without having to pick them up right away!
    • When the housing menu was active and there were a lot of NPCs, the frame rate would dip.
    • Fixed an issue where the summons tag on opponents may vanish if you moved too far away from them, making it difficult to see who your summons were aimed at. Fixed an issue where the biome artwork behind the map was wrongly sized depending on the UI zoom level, particularly in split screen.
    • In the instructional dialog boxes, a graphical issue was fixed.
