Lloyd Bannings goes back to his hometown to join the Crossbell Police Department, just like his late brother did before him. But he is sent to a strange new group called the Special Support Section, which does odd jobs and helps people who are in trouble. But he and his new team slowly learn that their lively city has a dark criminal side and some terrible secrets.
In this exciting chapter from the well-known The Legend of Heroes series, you can meet Crossbell. Crossbell is where the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard are still fighting over land, but it has become a prosperous city-state and one of the most important economic hubs on the continent.
Lloyd Bannings left his hometown for three years, but he came back to follow in the steps of his late brother and join the Crossbell Police Department. But when he gets there, he finds that he has been sent to the Special Support Section, which is a new division that takes care of odd jobs and small requests. He meets his new teammates, who include Elie MacDowell, the granddaughter of the city’s mayor, Randy Orlando, a womanizing ex-soldier, and Tio Plato, a young tech genius.
Lloyd and his friends keep working to make their city a better place even though the media makes fun of their department and the rest of the CPD looks down on them. As they do, though, they slowly learn about the crime and corruption that have taken over their city. They have no idea how deep Crossbell City’s shadows go…
