Nintendo revealed its financial results, revealing that the Nintendo Switch family of consoles has sold more than 107.65 million copies as of March 2022.
They also published updated software sales numbers for the Nintendo Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling video game on the Nintendo Switch, having sold 45.33 million copies since its release in 2017. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the Nintendo Switch game that comes closest to competing with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The game was a huge success for Nintendo during the COVID-19 pandemic, selling 38.64 million copies since its release in March of 2020.
