Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed Odyssey easter egg

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is also available to stream in Japan on the Nintendo Switch.

Kotaku – BOTW Easter Egg

Kotaku has been playing the game on the Nintendo Switch and have discovered a genuine The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild easter egg in it.

They spoke to Ubisoft who indeed confirmed that it is a special easter egg for the Nintendo Switch streaming version of the game. It’s nothing unlockable or anything but still it’s a cool show of respect from Ubisoft as explained by Kotaku;

I climbed the islet and found a little circle of rocks with a tiny little figure inside of it with a leaf on its head. We reached out to Ubisoft and confirmed that it is indeed a reference to the Korok Seed puzzles in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can’t really do anything besides kick the rocks around, but it’s still a really cool headnod to Zelda.

What can we say the relationship between Nintendo and Ubisoft seems to be a very special one. So don’t be surprised if more things happen sooner or later. Not sure if we should still be hoping for Rayman in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or anything but … who knows 😉
