The Super Mario Odyssey amiibo from Mario, Peach and Bowser instantly unlock the new Super Mario Odyssey levels in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
This will let Nintendo know on the official game page of the game. If you do not have one of these amiibo, the levels can also be unlocked later in the game itself.

Other amiibo
The other amiibo also have a function in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Do you scan that of Toad? Then you get an Invincibility Mushroom, which makes you invulnerable for a short time. With one of the other characters you will receive extra life!
All in all, the amiibo are a smart move and it is good to see that more games, including Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, have support or get support for it.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is available from July 13th.
