The 64-Bit tonic update aims to make Yooka-Laylee look like how Banjo Kazooie originally did on the N64!

64bit is where it is at!

It’s finally here, underperforming for you!

Strap on those nostalgia goggles and boot up Yooka-Laylee – it’s time for an adventure of 64-bit proportions. They have pounded the dough and rolled out the 64-bit Tonic update (it’s free, sorry Trowzer) to Nintendo Switch and PC versions of Yooka-Laylee.

They haven’t forgotten about PlayStation and Xbox players – you’ll be getting your hands on the Tonic at a later date once we have squished a few final bugs on those platforms as well.

So, what are you waiting for? Get rollin’ and pay Vendi a visit, for a brand-old taste of Yooka-Laylee.

Additional stuff:

  • Physical copies of Yooka-Laylee on Nintendo Switch will now properly log play time.
  • PC players may experience a framerate bug when adjusting graphical settings with the 64-Bit Tonic active. To resolve this, simply deactivate and reactivate the Tonic. The 64-Bit Tonic locks the framerate to 20.
