The Hulu app on the Wii U has met a premature end in Japan. The service was scheduled to be discontinued on 24th July.
Hulu on #WiiU in Japan met an undignified end yesterday. Service was scheduled to end on 7/24, but a fix for the playback issue that arose on 4/10 didn’t have an ETA. As a result, service ended on 4/30. One-month vouchers were offered in recompense. pic.twitter.com/UlAFUnmBgY

Compensation
However, the team came up against a playback issue on 10th April, which they didn’t have an estimated time for a fix. As a result they decided to end the service early.
To compensate for this the Hulu team gave subscribers a one-month free Hulu voucher to use.
