With the life cycle of Nintendo’s Wii U hardware having finished several years ago, service after service on the platform has been shutting down in a very slow manner.
Sadly, two additional instances of this tendency have been confirmed.
Say goodbye to Youtube and Crunchyroll
Due to Nintendo shutting the Wii U eShop next year, Google has confirmed that “the YouTube app is no longer accessible for new downloads through the Wii U eShop.”
In October, it will no longer be able to use the app. Similarly, Crunchyroll has stated that their app will no longer be accessible for eShop downloads and would cease to function on August 29.
