The Nintendo Switch version of Terraria has been updated again, making it version 1.4.4.1. This comes after the big “Labor of Love” patch that came out at the end of last month.
There are a lot of bug fixes and a few new things or changes.
Version 1.4.4.1 patch notes
- Additions/Changes
- On the world menu, worlds where Moon Lord has been defeated now have a golden edge.
- One new achievement has been added, and “Classic” has replaced “Journey” as the default mode for new players.
- Bug Fixes
- Some serverconfig options were not being used at all when servers were running.
- Fixed a major scaling problem that caused all enemies in Journey mode to have higher stats.
- Fixed a bug that let players use some items over and over again without being able to stop.
- Fixed a bug where saving some slimes as the 8th would not unlock the next level. The Big Thing Slime Mitosis Did
- Players with dyed pets were not getting the right colors when they chose their character.
- Fixed a bug that caused the wrong message to appear when a player died from a Jellyfish Shock Attack.
- Added a failsafe so that worldgen will fix any broken trees.
- When removing coatings, the Paint Scraper no longer doesn’t work with the Smart Cursor.
- Fixed some monoliths that weren’t being “pushed down” into the ground right. Fixed some issues with how liquids looked when gravity was in reverse.
- Fixed the change from 10 to 15 in Chain’s recipe not working. It should now give 15 as it should.
- Magic Quiver’s knockback bonus was being rounded down, which made most Knockback values worse.
- Chains were no longer affected by lava, but they could not be “extended” into lava.
- Fixed furniture that swings inside when the wind blows
- Fixed a bug where jungle mobs could spawn near Hive blocks in a Corrupt or Crimson Jungle
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze during world generation while it tried to create some objects.
- Escape didn’t work right on the Virtual Keyboard. Fixed a bug where the damage change for the Moon Lord’s Phantasmal Sphere only affected one of the two versions.
- Fixed a few bugs that had to do with new content that hasn’t been leaked yet. Fixed a problem that kept 2 of the game titles from showing, but they aren’t fully translated into languages other than English yet.
- Fixed a bug that caused ghost lava to appear when lava from tiles didn’t spawn on the server.
- Fixing a problem with world generation and trapped chests should get rid of at least one possible reason for world generation to freeze on the Everything seed.
- Fixed a bug where throwing the Guide Voodoo Doll into the “Celebrationmk10” lava pool would kill the Guide but not make the Wall of Flesh appear.
- Fixed a problem with the way some critter cages looked.
- Some items wouldn’t change properly when dropped into Shimmer during a Multiplayer session. Fixed an issue where the Shellphone wouldn’t move the player or show a tooltip when it was made.
The new 1.4.4.1 update for Terraria can now be downloaded by anyone with a Nintendo Switch.
