VGChartz, a sales tracking website published findings regarding the Nintendo Switch’s worldwide performance, revealing it has officially surpassed the 3DS in sales.
According to the sales figures, the Nintendo Switch has sold roughly 76.2 million units as of December 26th 2020. In comparison, the 3DS sits at 75.9 million units.
Nintendo Switch is an outright success
It is a true testament to the Nintendo Switch’s success, especially considering the 3DS took 10 years to achieve those sales numbers, and the Nintendo Switch crossed it in just 4 years.
The Nintendo Switch’s next target on the list of its predecessors is the Gameboy Advance, which sold around 81.51 million lifetime. With the way the sales are going for Nintendo Switch this only seems like a matter of time.
