About Wonder Boy

The Wonder Boy series, often known as the Monster World series, is a video game franchise created by Westone Bit Entertainment and distributed by Sega (formerly Escape). Since the debut of the first Wonder Boy arcade game on April 21, 1986, the game has generated multiple sequels for arcade, Master System, and Sega Genesis, as well as three compilation titles and three remakes by various studios. Several games, including Hudson Soft’s Adventure Island translation of the original game, have been transferred to other platforms under various names by various companies. The creator dubbed the main character “Wonder Boy” Book, but Sega dubbed him “Tom-Tom” for international versions.
