Take your seat in the cockpit
Star Fox Zero uses both the Wii U GamePad and the TV, letting you immerse yourself in the action and experience the game from unique perspectives.
Watch the action unfold around you on the TV. The GamePad’s touchscreen serves as your cockpit view. It shows a targeting reticle so you can use motion controls to aim precisely at enemies. As a seasoned pilot, you can pull off daring maneuvers like loops and barrel rolls to blast foes out of the sky.
You can also experience this intergalactic adventure with a friend via Co-op Play!* In this multiplayer mode, one player pilots the ship on the TV using a Wii U Pro Controller or a Wii Remote plus Nunchuk, while the other aims and shoots with the Wii U GamePad.
Fight on land, in the air, and in space!
Throughout your adventure you’ll pilot various vehicles, such as the brand-new Gyrowing, which resembles a drone, and the classic Landmaster tank—perfect for stopping Andross’s forces wherever they appear! Some vehicles can even transform. The legendary Arwings flown by Fox and his teammates can now change into two-legged attack vehicles called Walkers.
By using the Fox amiibo (sold separately), you can access the Arwing from the classic SNES game. You might even unlock another bonus…
A new course!
Keep an eye out during each mission for helpful items, medals, and alternate routes. Replay levels with different tactics and you might discover a teleporter that leads to a new boss encounter—or even a brand-new planet!
