Nintendo Direct coming in the week of September 12

Nintendo Direct coming in the week of September 12

Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb says that a Nintendo Direct might air the week of September 12. Based on when past presentations have been held and the fact that the Tokyo Game Show starts on September 15 in Japan, September 14 could be the most likely date.

Grubb thinks the Nintendo Direct will happen on September 13 or 14, depending on your time zone.

Zelda news incoming?

Grubb thinks that “there will be a lot of Zelda stuff” in the new Nintendo Direct and that “it will be a Zelda blowout.” Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD for Switch have been talked about before, and it’s possible that Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will also come out. Another possibility is the remaster of Metroid Prime, which has also been talked about, but Grubb doesn’t confirm that it will be there.

Grubb also said that the Switch versions of Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD have been sitting around for a long time. He said that the company “finishes games, gets stuff ready for the Switch, and then keeps them.” It seems that Nintendo does this for a number of different games.

Patterns have been broken before, but it’s worth noting that since the Switch came out, there has been a Nintendo Direct every September. 2020 had a special presentation about Super Mario and a Partner Showcase that month, but we all know that it was a slow year because of the pandemic.
