Nintendo plans to celebrate Mario’s 35th anniversary with re-releases and new Paper Mario

Video Games Chronicles published quite juicy rumour. The site says that Nintendo has big plans to celebrate Super Mario’s 35th Anniversary and plans to re-release a number of classic Mario games for the Nintendo Switch platform.

Mario re-master collection?

The site has also heard that this will include a brand new Paper Mario title. The site says that Super Mario 35th Anniversary reveal was planned as a physical event at E3 in June, but since that has been canceled, the firm is likely to include it as a digital showcase.

Eurogamer also corroborated the story, with their own sources hinting at Super Mario Galaxy being one of the remastered mystery games. Yet another reporting site, Gematsu, made its own separate claims that Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario 3D World would be involved, alongside a brand new Paper Mario reveal.

All in all if this turns out to be true … it’s going to be an instant buy for a whole lot of people.
