[FACT] Pokémon Nintendo Switch receives new real-time battle system

A new Pokémon game that can really only mean one thing; new rumors.

It is nothing new that a lot of information about upcoming Pokémon games could leak before the release, so it would be nothing of a surprise this is the case for the Nintendo Switch release.

Familiar sources

From Chinese sources, which also predicted Team Rainbow Rocket in Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon, it appears that the old turn-based combat system may be replaced by a real-time version. This new system should be simpler than its predecessor, but retains it attack choosing from a menu.

This information could be extracted from a Chinese translated script of the game, which seems to have been completed already.

But there is more

Other sources report that the game will contain no new Mega Evolutions, but this will be returning along with the Z Moves. Z Moves will be activated this time using the motion controls of the Joy-Con.

According to sources, the game should be released towards the end of 2018 or early 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. That is still relatively fast and it would also fit in with the way Nintendo’s own major releases are being spread over time.

It is important that this information be taking in with a grain of salt . Nintendo and Game Freak have not announced anything concrete apart from the existence of the game, but we know that in January Nintendo Direct is planned and who knows what the Big N has in store for us in this edition.
