A few brand new screenshots for Team Sonic Racing have been released which show off new features which can be found in this new Sonic game.

In one of the released screenshots, there seems to be a odd looking crate with an in game currency counter in the top right presented on a casino background which hints there could be loot boxes in Team Sonic Racing.
Hmmm you sure SEGA?
SEGA has yet to confirm if you will have to pay actual money for these loot boxes/in game currency as you may just earn the currency as you win races in the game.
The loot boxes are quite likely to reward you with items to customize your vehicle with or could even reward you with other items that may be present as in Sonic All Stars Racing you could purchase items with currency from the item store.
Let’s just hope this does not go the EA route of lootboxes.
