Call of Duty to come after Microsoft Activision merger

According to the boss of Xbox, one of the most popular shooter games may be making its way to systems manufactured by Nintendo.

Following the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King, the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, tweeted that “Microsoft has committed into a 10-year commitment to deliver Call of Duty to Nintendo.” This announcement was made in response to the merger.

Call of Duty … on Nintendo

This revelation comes following an interview that Spencer gave to the Washington Post, in which he said that, if the firm purchase is successful, the production of the game on Nintendo systems would not begin until until June 2023.

Spencer notes that this would be done as part of an attempt to ensure that Call of Duty can be played anywhere the user wants to play it. However, given that this is part of a ten-year commitment that will most likely be made to a system that comes after the Nintendo Switch, this is not expected to happen any time soon.

Due to the fact that Call of Duty can already be played on Battlenet operated by Activision, one of the terms of this contract is bringing the game to Steam.
