ConcernedApe focussing on next game

Indie title Stardew Valley’s hard-working creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone recently revealed that he’s now focussed on his next game. A game which he describes as a new pixel-art adventure featuring a top-down perspective.

He went on to say that that he may announce his new game fairly soon.

Barone noted

I’m not saying there’s going to be another Stardew Valley update. I don’t even know at this point. Right now I am focused on my next game. So, we’ll see.

I may announce it fairly soon, what it is – no-one knows at this point.

What I will say is it’s another pixel art game, a top-down perspective similar to Stardew Valley. And in some ways it is kind of similar to Stardew Valley, but it’s not a farming game. It’s something different.

About Stardew Valley

You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!
