E3, in a new form, to kick off 13th June, 2023

We all thought that E3 was pretty much dead because of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of streaming, where software and hardware companies do their own presentations.

But E3 is coming back!

As Reedpop, a company that puts on events and works with gaming websites and video channels, has joined forces with the Entertainment Software Association to bring it back to life. E3 2023 will start on June 13, 2023, in Los Angeles. It’s not clear yet if the big three will be there or if they’ll just be doing their own things, but it’s still a long way off. Games Beat says that on June 13–15, 2023, there will be Business Days for people who work in the industry. On June 15–16, anyone can go to Gamer Days.

The Entertainment Software Association says it wants to “support and lift up” digital events and showcases that are put on with partners.

Kyle Marsden-Kish – VP of gaming at ReedPop

E3 is one of the few chances for the global gaming industry to get together, speak with one loud voice, and show the world what it’s making. Our goal is to bring the industry back together by bringing back the traditional E3 week, bringing back that spark, and restoring E3’s role as a truly magical global showcase event for game creators and consumers.

We’ll have to wait and see if E3 2023 gets off the ground.
