Grasshopper Manufacture teases game reveal for end of 2022

Grasshopper Manufacture has lately been rather silent. Their most recent game, No More Heroes 3, was launched in August of this year.

In addition, Chinese publisher NetEase Games purchased Grasshopper Manufacture in October of last year. However, news has been scarce so far this year.

That, however, may not be the case for much longer. President and CEO Goichi “Suda51” Suda participated in a brief interview video broadcast by NetEase Games, in which he said that NetEase has been very supportive, allowing them to create a new studio, Yabukiri Studio.

Something new, something Suda51-ish

But it isn’t all. Suda51 claims that the video games created at this fresh new studio will remain “really cool” and “entirely new,” as fans have come to expect. In fact, he believes “everyone will be quite impressed.”

Suda51 also hinted at something, most likely a new game. He says they’ll be able to announce it “maybe towards the end of the year,” but he’s not sure and says “it might wind up being next year.” As a result, he adds, “We’ll see how it goes.”
