Sometimes we also get items which don’t fit in the ‘normal’ news which we want to pay some attention to. Simply because the content is coming from a different angle.

Mario art

In late October came naturally Super Mario Odyssey finally came out for the Nintendo Switch. It seems that the people at Viking also like good video games. The game left nothing to be desired. 5/5 stars from their employees, but also on various other review sites. In our case it scored 97/100.

Of course, in a work office you can not actually game, so that made the employees of Viking think of another way to bring the game to ‘life’ at the office.

The creation of a true Mario artwork

With a few empty walls and a total of 6223 post-its, the team went to work to recreate the ultimate nostalgic Mario image, namely the entire first level of the Mario series. Now we’re talking about passion!

But that is not a simple wall you can just pull of. And since there is slightly more to it Viking has also explained the entire proces on their blog. The full item can be found here http://blog.vikingdirect.nl/mario-meer-dan-6000-post-its/  (Dutch content)

Foto’s

They also made some pictures available of the process through; https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8zqj90046qbmtvr/AABP2-loG7eQYPWX2jbZY6A7a?dl=0

Video

But why settle for pictures when they also made a video;

First of, hats of (yes pun intended) for Viking for sharing this fun  news and sharing it with us, which is certainly appreciated! Let’s make use of this time to invite other parties to send your Nintendo related content to us.

Other companies

From personal experience we know that Google is also great at this. At my previous job we visited Google in Barcelona where such kind of art also graced the walls.

What do you feel, do more companies have to do such great things?

Should NintendoReporters ever grow into what we want then we gladly take the challenge of creating a  Nintendo themed wall too for sure.
