More Pauline support
This is great news for fans of the classic character, especially after she featured as a free DLC character in Mario Tennis Aces. As things stand, it looks like the character will be appearing in more and more spin-off titles like this in the future!
Pauline’s background
Pauline (who was originally known as Lady) is the damsel-in-distress in the arcade game Donkey Kong, the installment that marked her debut in both the Donkey Kong and Mario franchises, along with Mario and her kidnapper (confirmed in later games to be a younger Cranky Kong).
Juicy detail; she was Mario’s first love interest.
Pauline reprises her damsel-in-distress role in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. In Super Mario Odyssey, she plays a prominent supporting role singing the theme song of the game, “Jump Up, Super Star!”
Aren’t you excited to race as Pauline? Mario Kart Tour launched today for iOS and Android devices so get going!
