Nintendo Minute co-creator Krysta Yang leaves Nintendo

Nintendo’s weekly Nintendo Minute program ended after more than 400 episodes created by its creators Krysta Yang and Kit Ellis. One half of that combo has moved on to greener pastures now it seems.

Krysta Yang announced her departure from Nintendo of America last weekend, following more than 14 years with the firm. Krysta said that starting as a corporate affairs assistant and working her way up to public relations manager was her “dream job” and that being “a part of some of the most iconic events in gaming” was fantastic.

About Krysta Yang

Krysta Yang (born May 18, 1984) was the former public relations manager for Nintendo of America. She is also one of the two co-hosts of Nintendo Minute along with Kit Ellis. She left Nintendo as of January 2022 Krysta Yang was born in China in 1984. She went to the United States at five years old around the holiday season. There, her parents bought her an NES, and Yang started to play Nintendo games.

She joined Nintendo in 2007, working up the chain in public relations. She was key in starting Nintendo’s presence on social media. In 2013, she hosted a series alongside Kit Ellis called Nintendo Minute that aired on a weekly basis. She became Nintendo’s Manager of Public Relations in 2016, working with both content creators and making appearances in the mainstream media. She left Nintendo in 2022 to pursue other opportunities.
